How to Bid at Auction

As with any other real estate purchase, it’s important to do your homework. Here are some simple steps we suggest:

Study the information available on the property. Start with the documents contained in the property documents link available on our website.

If you don’t have Internet access contact us and request a Property Information Package (PIP), available on most properties we sell. This packet contains many helpful details, such as maps, demographics, zoning information and floor plans. (Specific information in the Property Information Package varies by individual property).

Visit the property. Ultimately, there’s no substitute for viewing the property. Our professional real estate agents will show you the property and work with you to get answers to all your questions.

Arrange financing, if needed. Our properties are ordinarily sold for cash without any financing contingencies, so you’ll want to have any needed financing arranged before the auction day.

Decide whether you wish to be represented by a real estate broker. If you do, be sure to have the broker register by the broker registration deadline for the auction. A Buyer broker Registration Form can be found on our website or your agent may request a copy by calling our office.

Verify Bidder Registration Requirements. Many of the auctions conducted by ________ require a certified cashier’s check to be eligible to register to bid. Prior to the auction verify if a cashier’s check is needed, and if so the amount.

To save time on auction day, consider pre-registering for the auction in advance by filling out a Pre-Registration Form on website
